circa 1780, with turn-off banded 4in. cannon barrels, London proofs, squared border and scroll engraved actions signed centrally in banners 'BARBAR' on the left and 'LONDON' on the right, central cocks and frizzens, engraved top-plates, trigger guard bow safes and bevel-edged walnut slab-sided butts, both pistols deeply amateurly carved with the initials 'W.B' on left side of head
