circa 1805, with round tapering 9in. barrel rifled in seven groove Baker fashion, the top signed 'E. BAKER, LONDON', bead fore-sight, standing notch rear-sight, top-tang engraved with a martial trophy, step-tailed lock of Baker type and signed 'E. BAKER' below the semi rainproof pan, sliding safe behind the swan-necked cock, roller frizzen, walnut full-stock (cracked and repaired below lock) with chequered saw-handle grip, flared pommel with central oval white metal escutcheon, guarded single-set trigger and captive iron ramrod
