A WILLIAM IV .650 FLINTLOCK LAND PATTERN SERVICE PISTOL MARKED 'N.V.I.', no visible serial number,
circa 1834, with round tapering 9in. barrel, William IV 'MR' proof and moulded band at breech, rounded top-tang, unsigned Enfield style lock with stepped tail and provision for safe (thumb-piece missing), ring-necked cock, semi rainproof pan with crown and 'W.R.' below, walnut full-stock with 'BO' stamp and broad arrow behind lock tail, the left side marked 'PRITCHETT', brass furniture including pommel cap and trigger guard bow, the latter marked 'N.V.' over 'I', captive iron ramrod, the whole refinished except possibly for the barrel
