dated for 1853, with twist damascus browned 7in. side-by-side barrels, raised concave top-rib with bead fore-sight, rounded top-tang with shallow sighting groove, plain back-action curved locks signed 'SWINBURN & SON' over the date (right possibly refreshed), plain hammers, walnut full-stock with smooth pistol-grip, the shallow domed iron pommel-cap marked 'SCINDE IRREGULAR HORSE, guarded double triggers and captive iron ramrod
