officially licenced copy circa 1858, with blued octagonal 3 1/4in. barrel, the top-flat retailer marked 'JACOMET A RIO-JANEIRO', replacement rammer, borderline and scroll engraved solid frame marked variously 'ADAMS 1856 PATENT' and 'ADAMS PATENT 2235', plain Liege proved five-shot cylinder with borderline engraving, double action mechanism with spurred hammer and guarded trigger (slightly at fault) and chequered walnut semi saw-handled grip with engraved iron butt-cap, fair traces of original blued finish remaining
