circa 1895, with blued round 5 3/4in. barrel, the throat marked on left 'COUNET'S PATENT' and 'A.F', moulded sighting rib with applied crescent fore-sight, sighting notch to rear of top-strap, break-open frame with auto-ejecting plain six-shot cylinder with full ring-type extractor, twin frame-mounted locking bars of 'Pryse' style, double action mechanism with guarded trigger, finely chequered walnut bag-shaped grips and lanyard ring at heel
