A SCARCE .320 (S/R) HILLS PATENT SELF-EXTRACTING POCKET REVOLVER, no visible serial number,
circa 1880, with ovoid 3 7/8in. blued barrel, the right hand side inscribed 'HILL'S PATENT SELF EXTRACTOR', faceted top-strap with crescentic 'claw' operating on the cylinder extraction star, break up and over frame released via a catch at the bottom front edge of trigger-guard, plain blued cylinder, flared chequered walnut grips and folding double-action trigger, the whole retaining much original blued finish
