28in. nitro ejector 12-bore shot barrels with 9mm raised matt top-rib, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. true cyl. and 1/4 choke;
quadruple-grip action, side-bolsters carved in relief with oak leaves and acorns, manual safety, action face marked 'G. Retz. SUHL. Goldlauter', cocking-indicators, set triggers, oak leaf and acorn engraving, the lockplates carved with woodland scenes of red deer, fox and fowl, bright finish overall, 15in. well-figured pistolgrip stock with hogsback comb, cheekpiece, sling swivels, carved bone pistolgrip-cap, the stock profusely carved with further oak leaf and acorn motifs, the left side with a roe buck, the right side with a scene of running boar, horn buttplate, weight 9lb. 3oz (rifle), 8lb. 3oz.
