German, circa 1920, with tilting octagonal 20 1/2in. smooth-bore barrel, nickel-plated air-chamber and trigger-housing, walnut butt-stock with raised cheek-piece and nickel-plated heel-plate, nickel-plated under-lever forming the trigger-guard bow, walnut fore-end with 'schnabel' tip (old blind crack) and left-hand mounted barrel locking catch, the whole retaining much original finish
