A UNITED STATES MODEL 1860 OFFICER'S PARADE SWORD, mid-late 19th Century, with 30 in. double-edged steel blade etched with scroll-work with 'U.S.' to one side and the American eagle to the other, decorative brass hilt with folding shell-guard depicting the American eagle on one half and stand of arms and shield on the other, with similar decoration on each side of the pommel, wire-bound fish-skin grip, together with its steel scabbard with decorated brass fittings, grip worn, scabbard with blinded pitting, some denting and rust patches, 38 1/2 in overall
