circa 1875, with Belgian proved two-stage 9 3/16in. barrel marked 'VERO REVOLVER MONTENEGRINO' along the top, integral fore-sight, raised sighting notch to the engraved top-strap, stepped six-shot cylinder with external locking stops and coarse floral engraving over each chamber, coarsely engraved solid frame marked 'ADLER'S PATENT' and 'GUSS STAHL' to left side of barrel throat, double action trigger mechanism with spurred hammer, smooth bone bag-shaped grips, guarded trigger and lanyard ring at heel, the whole retaining much nickel-plated finish and complete with a period full-flap leather holster
