for 1876, with round tapering 2 1/4in. Birmingham proved barrel signed on the top on two lines 'COLTS PT F.A. MFG. CO.' over 'HARTFORD CT. USA' (some bruising to barrel sides), solid frame with spur trigger and exposed hammer, the upper left side of frame above the feed cut-out marked '30 CAL', five-shot cylinder with long flutes and smooth walnut birdshead grips
