last quarter of the 19th century, both with London proved blued 2in. barrels signed 'COLT' on the top, silver-plated open brass frames, one double stamped with the Colt trademark, early form curved butts, one pistol with upright hammer, spur triggers and in an English market oak casing bearing a trade-label for J.H. Crane, London, lined and compartmented for these pistols in green baize
