A PAIR OF 32-BORE FLINTLOCK OVERCOAT PISTOLS, no visible serial numbers, in a later case,
circa 1815, with octagonal 5in. Birmingham proved barrels signed 'LONDON', bead fore-sights, engraved bands and scrolls at breeches, engraved colour hardened top-tangs with moulded rear-sights, flat locks with round stepped tails and carved borders (traces of colour), swan-necked cocks with safes, roller frizzens, script signature below the pans, walnut full-stocks with smooth bag-shaped grips and brass tipped ramrods, in a later walnut case adapted for these pistols and lined and compartmented in green baize and including a flask and sundry accessories
