circa 1812, with expertly rebrowned octagonal to sixteen-sided to round 35in. barrel (fore-sight lacking), the octagonal breech-block inlet with a gold line and poincon, the latter marked 'CALVERTS, LEEDS', platinum lined touch-hole, brushed bright bevel-edged step-tail lock signed 'CALVERTS' below the rainproof pan, roller frizzen and swan-necked cock, walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist and with iron furniture except for two white-metal escutcheoned barrel keys (inlet repair to upper left side of fore-end) and horn-tipped ebony ramrod
