circa 1860, Birmingham produced with octagonal micro-rifled 6 1/8in. barrel, borderline engraved muzzle and top-strap, dove-tailed fore-sight, notch rear-sight to standing breech, Kerr style rammer to left side, two-piece borderline engraved frame (traces of finish), colour hardened plain five-shot cylinder, double action mechanism with spurred hammer and chequered walnut grips, in a period oak case relined in green baize and including a flask, cap-tin, lubricating compound, nipple key and cleaning rod
