A .577 (SNIDER) MKII** SNIDER THREE-BAND RIFLE SIGNED L.A.C. Co, serial no. 36,
dated for 1860, with blued 36 1/2in. barrel, block and blade fore-sight, elevating ladder rear-sight, flip-open breech marked 'SNIDER PATENT' and 'BSA', plain colour hardened lock signed 'L.A.C. Co' below the date and with a 'V.R' crown device at tail. walnut full-stock, the right side of butt with an applied oval white-metal plaque marked 'NO. 3. CO' above the number '36', 'D.C' within a diamond-shaped border to left side, brass furniture except for three iron barrel-bands, no bayonet lug and complete with swivels and under-barrel clearing rod
