A .177 BREAK-BARREL LINCOLN-JEFFERIES 'THE LINCOLN' AIR-PISTOL, serial no. 1145, in a later box,
circa 1928, with 9in. rifled barrel, the top of the squared breech-section signed 'THE "LINCOLN" AIR PISTOL, dove-tailed fore-sight, notch rear-sight, the right hand side marked 'BEST ENGLISH MAKE', steeply slanted air-chamber forming the grip, side-bar barrel release, the cocking link forming the trigger-guard with thumbwheel take-down screw at front, web of grip marked with the serial number only, the whole refinished with some purpling and shallow pitting, in a later card carton with model designation to exterior
