circa 1890, 32in. black powder only reproved barrel (in 2019), adjustable tangent rear sight, block and blade fore-sight, bayonet leg to right side for sabre bayonet, receiver ring engraved with Chinese ideograph translating as 'Manufactured by Remington Factory of America, The Jui Sheng Import Co. of Shanghai, Agents.', the top flat of the receiver marked 'E. REMINGTON & SONS. ILION. N.Y. U.S.A. SOLE MANUFACTURERS AND AGENTS. 20007.', the left receiver wall marked 'PATENTED. NOV. 4TH. 1879.', turned bolt handle, knurled cocking-piece, detachable box magazine, the right side stamped 'PATENTED. MAY. 28TH. 1872. NOV. 4TH. 1879. AUG. 26TH. 1884. SEP. 9TH. 1884.', reblued finish overall, three-quarter length stock with two U-stamped barrel bands, 13 3/8in. pull including crescent steel buttplate, weight 8lb. 10oz.
