circa 1800, with round 11 3/4in. barrel with flared offset muzzle, the top at breech marked 'LONDON', top-mounted iron bayonet of concave sided triangular form released via a catch on the top-tang, borderline engraved semi bevel-edged lock with stepped tail and signed 'PINKNEY & SON' below the pan, swan necked cock, walnut full-stock chequered at the wrist, cracked through the wood centrally and with period working repair including full brass sideplate, shotgun butt, brass furniture and replacement brass-tipped ramrod
