circa 1943, with 27 1/2in. slightly curved blade (lightly cleaned and re-polished), narrow fuller to the back edge finishing just short of the tip, plain iron oval tsuba, alloy hilt cast in imitation of binding, blue rope tassel (possibly associated) and in its matching number iron scabbard with throat-lock
