circa 1810, with round 42in. smoothbore barrel, breech with Tower proofs and a broad arrow mark, solid tang with rounded tip, flat bevel-edged lock (of 1809 form) signed 'TOWER' on the tail and with a 'G.R.' crown device below pan, swan-necked cock (top-jaw and screw broken off), walnut full-stock with shotgun style butt (some cracking below tail of lock), brass furniture including raised sideplate, the heel-plate spur engraved 'G' over '87' and '99', and complete with matching numbered iron bun-tipped ramrod
