A 32-BORE (2 1/2in.) SINGLE-BARRELLED SHOT PISTOL SIGNED G.E. LEWIS, BIRMINGHAM, serial no. 8555,
circa 1890, with shortened 8 3/4in. octagonal barrel changing to sixteen-sided at the muzzle, the top-flat signed 'G.E. LEWIS 32 & 33 LOWER LOVEDAY ST. BIRMINGHAM' and also marked with the serial number and '(32 BORE CHOKE)', borderline and scroll engraved iron frame with side-lever openers, exposed central hammer, chequered walnut bag-shaped grip and splinter fore-end with moulded horn tip and cross-key barrel fastener
