A 12-BORE 'G. WILLIS'S TRAP GUN' BOXLOCK NON-EJECTOR, serial no. 6528,
circa 1915, 30in. nitro reproved barrels (in 1962), broad file-cut matt rib engraved 'PATENT TREBLE WEDGE FAST' at the breech end, tubes engraved 'G. WILLIS. MAKER. PRICE ST. ST MARY'S SQUARE. BIRMINGHAM.', 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. full choke in both, large sideclipped treble-grip action, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, border and partial scroll engraving surrounding vignettes of hound flushing game, oversized triggerguard with a further vignette, retaining traces of original colour-hardening and finish, 15in. pistolgrip stock with chequered side panels, including 1 1/4in. wooden extension, weight 7lb. 11oz.
