for 1879, 35 1/4in. barrel, block front-sight with dove-tailed blade, ladder rear-sight with extended volley sight leaf, bayonet bar at muzzle, the action tang stamped "KJOBENHAVNS TOIHUUS-1879", the right side of the action stamped a Danish ordnance inspection stamp and "M-1867", two piece iron mounted full walnut stock, the right butt with unmarked inset brass disc, the fore-end with three spring retained barrel bands (one nickel plated), equipped with the dual purpose centrefire or rimfire breech, faded finish with strong traces of colour
