A MIXED GROUP OF FOUR BAG-SHAPED POWDER FLASKS FOR PISTOLS,
all mid to late 19th Century, copper and brass, being 1) graduated spout, cap marked 'JAMES DIXON / & SONS / SHEFFIELD', bevelled spring, ridged thumb-press, suspension ring, 6in.; 2) graduated spout, cap marked 'G. & J.W. / HAWKSLEY', bevelled spring, bull's-eye thumb-press, flaired body, 5in.; 3) graduated spout, cap with boxed 'G. & J.W. / HAWKSLEY', bevelled spring, bull's-eye thumb-press, suspension ring, 4 3/4in.; 4) a miniature, plain spout and thumb-press, bevelled spring, body stamped 'J D & S' (for John Dixon & Sons) below the collar, 3 1/4in.; all in good working order with tight seams with some imperfections to the bodies
