for 1929, 28in. nitro barrels with 7mm raised concave solid rib, intermediate bead sight, engraved 'WESTLEY RICHARDS. 23 CONDUIT ST. LONDON. GUN MAKERS BY APPOINTMENT TO THE LATE KING GEORGE V.', and '"OVUNDO"', the breech end with acanthus scroll detailing, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and full choke, action incorporating L.B. Taylor & Westley Richards patent concealed hook and extension, patent no. 8853 of 8th April 1914, patent pivoted firing pins, patent No. 9410 of 16th April 1914, Westley Richards patent 'two pull' selective single trigger, patent No. 26659 of 17th November 1909, with barrel-selector switch and gold-inlaid 'O' and 'U' details, Taylor & Haines patent sprung inspection ports, patent No. 170703 of 12th August 1920, J. Deeley and L.B. Taylor patent hand-detachable locks, patent No. 17731 of 28th July 1897 with hinged floorplate, hold-open Westley Richards patent toplever, automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, the action and decorative lockplates engraved with bold floral scrollwork, retaining virtually full renewed colour-hardening and finish, 14in. figured stock with engraved steel heel and toe plates, matching fore-end wood (split to rear) with Deeley and Edge release catch, weight 7lb. 2oz., in its leather motorcase with canvas and leather outer
