for 1930, 26in. sleeved nitro barrels, the rib engraved 'JOHN DICKSON & SON. 32. HANOVER STREET. EDINBURGH.', the breech end gold-inlaid '1' and with acanthus scroll detailing, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/2 and 3/4 choke;
27in. replacement nitro barrels (in 1996), the rib engraved 'JOHN DICKSON & SON. 21. FREDERICK STREET. EDINBURGH.', the breech end gold-inlaid '1' and with acanthus scroll detailing, 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, treble-grip Dickson patent round-action incorporating patents 9399 and 10621 of 1887, use number 1704, toplever gold-inlaid '1', automatic safety with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' detail, non-selective single-trigger, profusely engraved with fine acanthus scrollwork and floral bouquets, the underside gold-inlaid 'DICKSON'S PATENT.', retaining virtually full renewed colour-hardening and finish, 14 5/8in. figured replacement stock, matching fore-end, the finial gold-inlaid '1', weight 6lb. 2oz. (original sleeved barrels) and 6lb. 4oz. (replacement barrels), in its lightweight brass-cornered leather case
