A 12-BORE 'MODEL 316S IDEAL' TRIGGERPLATE-ACTION LEVER-COCKING NON-EJECTOR CAPE GUN / RIFLE, serial no. 81795,
circa 1950, 27 1/2in. nitro reproved (in 2023) barrels with sunken rib, the breech-end with border and acanthus scroll engraving, 2 1/2in. chambers, the shot barrel bored approx. full choke, right barrel rifled (proofed as "65mm Paradox"), treble-grip action, rearward placed cocking / opening underlever, loaded indicator studs, triggerplate mounted ambidextrous sliding safety, partial acanthus scroll engraving, the underside with the model designation and 'IDEAL' in an oval, retaining some colour-hardening and finish, 14 1/8in. semi-pistolgrip stock including 'MF' buttplate, with build in retractable leather sling, fore-end with selective slide-forward or detach lever, weight 6lb. 8oz.
