A SCARCE .442 P. WEBLEY & SON PATENT SOLID FRAME REVOLVER, serial no. 26271,
circa 1877, with octagonal 3in. barrel, large nickel crescent fore-sight, sighting groove to the top-strap and signed 'P. WEBLEY & SON' and 'ST JAMES LONDON' either side, solid frame cut for the exposed ratchet locking at rear of the plain six-shot cylinder, 'C' shaped 'half-cock' safe-spring to left of frame, chequered walnut grips and guarded trigger, fitted with a lanyard ring at heel, traces of finish
