A 12-BORE SIDELOCK EJECTOR, serial no. 1576, with extra 'pigeon' barrels,
original 28in. (circa 1938) nitro reproved barrels with game rib engraved 'VICKERS ARMSTRONG LTD.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 3/4 choke;
28in. unsigned extra barrels with filed raised [rib with intermediate bead sight (circa 1962, numbered 1577), 2 3/4in. chambers, bored approx. full choke in both;
patent action with carved fences and diminutive toplever, automatic safety, border and acanthus scroll engraving, retaining very slight traces of original colour-hardening, 15 1/4in. stock with monte carlo comb and including 1in. wooden extension and 3/4in. rubber recoil pad, small setting cracks to rear of lockplates, fore-end with T. Bailey 1876 patent fore-end release catch, weight 6lb. 10oz. (original barrels) and 6lb. 14oz. (extra barrels), in a leather case adapted to fit both pairs of barrels
