W.', 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. 1/4 and 1/2 choke, Tolley patent lever cocking hammerless actions, incorporating H. Tolley provisional patent hammer bolting patent, number 649 of Feb. 18th 1879, use numbers 114 and 122, carved fences, No. 5585 with removable striker discs, fine border and acanthus scroll engraving, the rear of the dipped-edge lockplates with game scenes of partridge and grouse, the triggerguards with a running hare, retaining slight traces of original colour-hardening,15in. figured semi-pistolgrip stocks with domed horn pistolgrips and including 5/8in. buttplates, No. 5544 cracked and repaired through hand, fore-ends with Homer 1877 patent push-forward button release, weight 6lb. 4oz. and 6lb. 5oz., in a brass-cornered leather bound oak case with a Wiggan & Elliott trade label
