circa 1835, with heavy 36in. triple-stage twist iron barrel, the top with rubbed signature, the underside marked 'STUBS TWISTED', Birmingham proofs, scroll engraving and platinum line at breech, engraved snail, top-tang with further engraving and broad sighting groove, borderline and scroll engraved back-action lock signed 'ROBERT DUNN' (rubbed but legible), walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, iron furniture including heel-plate and trigger-guard with raised pistol-grip tang, white metal barrel key escutcheons and nose-cap and horn-tipped under-barrel ramrod, exposed iron surfaces lightly worn
