A CASED 80-BORE PERCUSSION SELF-COCKING REVOLVER, MODEL 'TRANTER'S DOUBLE-TRIGGER', serial no. 2382T,
circa 1852, with octagonal 5in. barrel, engraved band at muzzle, scroll engraving at throat, dove-tailed fore-sight, borderline and scroll engraved open iron frame, the top-strap signed 'J. VEISEY & SON', plain five-shot cylinder with rope-twist engraved band to leading edge, spurless hammer, swept chequered walnut grips with engraved butt-cap, detachable rammer (included), cylinder cleaned but a strong amount of finish remaining elsewhere, complete with a period mahogany storage case compartmented and lined in green baize and containing a full complement of accessories including a flask, mould, nipple-key, oil-bottle and cleaning rod together with caps, lubricating compound and some spare nipples
