for 1863, with octagonal 7 1/2in. barrel, the top-flat signed 'ADDRESS COL SAML. COLT NEW-YORK US AMERICA', articulated under-barrel rammer, open iron frame stamped 'COLTS PATENT', plain cylinder with roll engraved scene, brass grip-straps and trigger-guard, the heel engraved in script 'M.C.', smooth walnut flared grips, darkly stained with some mild pitting
