for between 1833-39, the action married to twist 29in. barrels numbered '11013' (bottom loop detached but present), the top-rib signed in script 'JOHN MANTON & SON', platinum vented plugs to the breech-block, borderline and scroll engraved top-tang, bar-action locks with top extensions, border, gamescene and scroll engraving and signed 'JNO MANTON & SON PATENT', chequered walnut half-stock numbered '10879' inside the fore-end with iron furniture and provision for under-barrel ramrod (missing)
Other Notes: Neal and Back's book 'The Manton Supplement' lists gun no. 11013 as a "double barrelled caplock shotgun signed John Manton & Son Patent with locks that have a vertical extension to fit beside the standing breech" . It also mentions that the barrels are missing. The action presented here and numbered '10879' is not mentioned but has identical locks.
