A TRANSITIONAL CUT-STEEL COURT-SWORD, UNSIGNED,
circa 1800 and probably French, with diamond cross-section 29 3/4in. possibly earlier engraved blade, finely pierced steel oval guard with applied cut-steel decoration, narrow cross-guard with small pas-de-ane (quillion tip absent), carved 'D' shaped knuckle-bow with applied decoration, fully decorated faceted steel grip-piece with en-suite urn pommel, complete with a leather scabbard with brass mounts and remenants of a hanging strap
