circa 1860 and designed for Schutzenfest events, with brushed bright octagonal 33 1/2in. barrel, muzzle rebated for a ball starter (absent), dove-tailed fore-sight, elevating blade rear-sight, the breech end signed on the top-flat in script 'P. SPAMANN IN RAVENSBURG', plain top-tang with no provision for vernier sight, carved snail, plain bar action lock and hammer, heavy walnut full-stock of Swiss form with raised cheek-piece and heavy white-metal crescent heel-plate (toe of butt repaired), winged sidenail escutcheon, white metal trigger guard bow with finger grooves, double set trigger and horn tipped ramrod
