A .440 (SHORT) FIVE-SHOT REVOLVER, UNSIGNED, MODEL 'AMERICAN BULLDOG', no visible serial number,
almost certainly the product of Harrington & Richardson, USA and circa 1880, with 2 1/2in. octagonal barrel marked on the top-flat 'AMERICAN BULL DOG, fluted cylinder with side loading gate, solid frame and chequered black gutta-percha grips, retaining much original factory nickel-plated finish throughout
