A .455/.476 DOUBLE-ACTION REVOLVER, MODEL 'WG ARMY', serial no. 13008,
with 6in. barrel signed on the top 'WILKINSON SWORD CO. PALL MALL LONDON', the underside engraved 'A.S RALLI, RL. LANCERS', nickel blade fore-sight, sighting notch to the stirrup barrel locking catch, fluted quick release automatic ejecting cylinder, break-open frame and chequered flared walnut grips, retaining much original blued finish.

Provenance: This revolver is named for Major A.S. RALLI, an officer in the 16th Lancers. He later transferred to the 12th Lancers in 1880 and was made up to Major in 1896. Took part in the Boer war from 1899 onwards, participating in the Relief of Kimberly, the Battle of Paardebergh and the advance on Bloemfontein. He succumbed to enteric fever on active duty in May 1900
