circa 1850, with octagonal 26 3/4in. barrel (cleaned and frosted), bead fore-sight, rear-sight with one standing and one folding blade, traces of 'LONDON' to the top-flat, vented plug at breech, engraved top-tang, borderline and scroll engraved bar-action lock signed 'WHEELER & SON' featuring a recumbent stag engraved at tail, engraved hammer (shield cracked at nose), walnut half-stock chequered at the wrist, iron furniture and provision for under-barrel ramrod (missing)
