circa 1795, with round turn-off 2 3/4in. barrels, false rifling and engraved band at muzzles, borderline and trophy engraved squared boxlock signed action with central hammer, rotating tap-lever to left hand side of frame, private Tower proofs, sliding safe behind the hammer, slab-sided walnut butt (small loss at head) with clip-corner vacant white-metal escutcheon at wrist and guarded trigger, together with an amateur produced barrel-key for same
