IMMAN MEFFERT 8X57JS BOLT-ACTION SINGLE-SHOT RIFLE, serial no. 16645, circa 1885, 25 1/2in. blank only reproved barrel with faceted breech-section (in 2025), standing notch rear sight with two folding leaves, dove-tailed bead fore-sight, engraved 'IMMAN MEFFERT IN SUHL DEUTSCHLAND', straight chequered bolt, manual flag safety, double set-triggers, acanthus scroll engraving, retaining slight traces of original colour-hardening and finish, scrolling triggerguard acting as a pistolgrip, halfstock with cheekpiece, 14in. pull including steel buttplate, sling swivels, weight 6lb. 5oz.
