A GOOD GERMAN WORLD WAR II K98 MAUSER DRESS BAYONET WITH ETCHED BLADE, circa 1940, with 9 3/4in. single-edged blade fullered on each side, etched on both sides with oakleaves and eagle and swastika motifs, one side showing a half-track towing a field gun, the other side with ribboned script 'Fur Erinnerung / an meine dienstzeit', ricasso marked 'SOLINGEN', cross-guard with quillion, bird's head pommel, blade and hilt nickelled, chequered black plastic grips, together with its black steel scabbard and black lather frog maker-marked 'O. REICHEL / LENGEFELD', all appearing close to mint, etching probably post-war, 16 1/2in. overall
