circa 1900, with tapering octagonal 28 1/2in. barrel, the top-flat signed on an inlet white-metal poincon, dove-tailed adjustable fore-sight with side protectors, elevating tangent rear-sight, border and scroll engraved slab-sided receiver of Martini style, dropping feed ramp, the wrist with factory fitted pan-head peep-sight, walnut butt-stock with large moulded cheek-piece, heavy iron crescent heel-plate, double set triggers, the spurred trigger guard forming the under-lever and walnut splinter fore-end with schnabel tip and provision for under-barrel clearing rod (rod absent)
