A 12-BORE DOUBLE BARRELLED PERCUSSION SPORTING GUN BY CHARLES MAYBURY, CIRCA 1850, no visible serial number, 29 in. barrels, foliate engraved fixed breech, bar-action locks, engraved with foliate scrolls and gamebird scenes (faint), both hammers foliate engraved to match, iron mounted figured walnut half-stock with chequered wrist and a vacant escutcheon
Provenance: The maker Charles Maybury was established at 15 St. Mary's Row, Birmingham, circa 1837 -1886.
