A RARE CASED WORLD WAR II RAF NAVIGATIONAL AZIMUTH CIRCLE No. 4, circa 1940s, fully working with all lenses/filters and prism, marked 'AZIMUTH CIRCLE No. 4 / REF No. 6A/890' and 'No. 35931E'. in original fitted case with green baize lining and original instruction label inside the lid, case stencilled with 'DELICATE INSTRUMENT / HANDLE WITH GRET CARE' on lid and 'AZIMUTH CIRCLE No. 4. / 6A/890' to front, complete with original catches and canvas carrying strap, these instruments were used as navigational aids on the Lancaster, Halifax and Sterling RAF heavy bombers
