WESTMINSTER S.W.', the leg of the hyposcope with broad arrow markings and a large letter 'N', the inside of lid with gummed paper instruction label

Provenance: This unusual sighting apparatus was patented in 1914 and allowed indirect viewing of the rifle sights from a position below a parapet, whether prone, kneeling or standing. Originally only available as a private purchase item, this example is unusual in that it is ordnance marked
