A FRENCH MODEL 1854 HEAVY CAVALRY SWORD, circa 1860, with 36 in. tapering single edged straight blade cut on each side with deep twin fullers, ricasso with inspection marks, brass four-bar guard with horn grip, together with its steel scabbard with two suspension rings, worn, blade stained with pitting towards the tip, blade back engraving rubbed faint, wire grip binding absent, scabbard heavily pitted and rusted
