A PAIR OF COGSWELL & HARRISON 12-BORE SIDELOCK EJECTORS, serial no. 46174/5, No.1 sold as a stock, action & fore-end only, circa 1913, No.2 with 30in. nitro barrels, rib gold-inlaid '2' at the breech end, rib inscription rubbed, 2 1/2in. chambers, bored approx. imp. cyl. and 1/4 choke, some pitting, toplevers gold-inlaid '1' and '2', automatic safeties with gold-inlaid 'SAFE' details, gold-inlaid cocking-indicators, fine acanthus scroll engraving with floral motifs and ornate and beaded bordering, the fences carved in high relief with floral bouquets, 15 1/2in. figured stocks (much wear) including 7/8in. wooden extensions, No.1 with crack at hand, No.2 with crack at head, fore-ends with wear, No.2 cracked, weight No.2 6lb. 10oz.
